These are the rules as of April 20th, 2014.
At Railfan Talk, we always want to have fun! However, we must follow rules to help keep the board fun. Here are some simple rules:
What will get you IP Banned for life:
*Getting 5 warnings in one year (January 1st through December 31st, see four sections down to see what gets you a warning)
*Gimmie Pigging more than twice in a month.
*Posting any disgusting, offensive, or inappropriate pictures.
*Doing any of the temporary ban things twice
What will get you temporarily banned:
*Gimmie Pigging more than once in a month. (One Week ban)
*Starting political or religious conversations. (One month to one year depending on severity)
*Making any kind of sexual, racist, sexist, or homophobic comments. (One month)
*Children under 13 sharing personal information such as name, picture, age, address, etc. (Until 13th birthday)
*Clear abuse of the karma system (negating someone's karma due to envy will not only get you banned for a week, it will get their karma raised by however much you lowered it by before you began doing it.)
What MAY get you temporarily banned:
* -15 karma or greater can get you banned for a month IF people lowered your karma for a valid reason(s).
What will get your account deleted (can register again):
*Not posting in 3 months, unless you have a personal issue that I know about.
*Not posting your TRUE age, this is for safety only. If you are under 13, you must make your age private, but still put your birthday for admins to see.
What will get you warned:
*USING ALL CAPS.
*t41k1ng la1k th1s, u sh0u1d n0t t41k laik th1s.
*Excessive Smilies (
)
*Starting a huge fight (3 warnings)
*Any other thing that I, or any other moderator, determines is worth a warning.
Some other things that should be touched up on:
KARMA SYSTEM: The Karma System is here basically to show users how loved or hated they are. It is not a crime if you minus anyone's karma (including mine), as long as it is for a good reason. Here are some reasons NOT to negate anyone's karma:
*You hate the person
*Their screenshot/picture is bad
*They like GEVOs, you like EMDs.
If it was not just listed, then your reason for negating someone's karma is perfectly valid.
GIMMIE PIGGING is defined as demanding content from others or demanding it to be freeware. This is a no-no.
All bans are to be finalized by me, and me only, unless it was for one of the reasons listed above.
**Please check these rules constantly, as they will be updated frequently.**
