I have read few novels that can be defined as thrillers, even though it is a genre that has always attracted me, including films. Lately I discovered an author who writes medical thrillers and I devoured those novels. I read thriller novels because I believe they are unlikely to bore, precisely because of their peculiarity. Maybe you might not like the subgenre to which they can be ascribed - some might not tolerate novels about the medical environment, for example - but in any case I think that reading a thriller is easy.
What is thriller Beyond the academic Phone Number Data definitions, I see suspense above all in thrillers - it is no coincidence that the term comes from the English verb which means to shiver, and therefore indicates an extreme situation, of danger, of urgency. What I look for in a thriller is another matter and as usual I indicate here the various elements that I love to find in a thriller novel. Action : I believe it is fundamental. I really couldn't imagine a static thriller, without frenzy, without chases, shootouts, attacks, attacks of any kind. Thrill : not to be confused with fear of the supernatural. However, there is a thrill when you witness scenes in which the characters are in danger of their lives.
Conspiracies and intrigues : these may be thrillers with a political and espionage background, but a dose of intrigue cannot be missing, even if limited and circumscribed. Transportation : Which comes from suspense. The reader must feel carried away by the pages of the thriller, be moved by the events of the protagonist, sucked into the events until the conclusion. I believe that the thriller novel is the mystery taken to the extreme and with a change of point of view. If in the detective story there is the commissioner who investigates, in the thriller there is the victim who carries the story forward. After all, only in this way can there be suspense: seeing our protagonist risk being torn to pieces by the maniac on duty or blown up because he stepped on someone's toes.
